Outdoor Concerts To Add Sizzle to All-American Ribfest
Epic Eagles, Flying Toasters, Wright Brothers, When Country Went Pop
to headline Indy’s cookoff of 7 national award-winning BBQ teams
Noontime and evening outdoor concerts will add extra sizzle to this week’s All-American Ribfest cookoff among seven national award-winning BBQ teams in downtown Indianapolis.
Country and classic hits radio leaders, WFMS and WJJK, are helping with the July 25-28 food and music festival, which will raise money to develop the new not-for-profit Indiana Sheriffs’ Youth Ranch for future law enforcement officers, at-risk kids, young witnesses and victims of crime.

“Some of Indy’s favorite bands – Epic Eagles, Flying Toasters, Wright Brothers and When Country Went Pop – will have downtown Indy workers and Central Indiana residents following their music and food tastes to the American Legion Mall and the hottest new festival around,” said Scott Minier, executive director of the recently purchased Youth Ranch.
“A small $5 general admission helps provide 12 noon and 7 p.m. evening concerts, shaded seating, clean restrooms and security. Food and beverages are extra, but will be affordably priced,” Minier said. “Admission discounts are available in Reach Savings and Money Mailer. Law enforcement, firefighters and U.S. veterans receive free admissions courtesy of IDEANOMICS, a national leader in cyber security training for local law enforcement.”
Minier said IDEANOMICS substantial support for the Youth Ranch event will also allow free general admissions to everyone attending for lunch on Thursday and Friday, as well as all youth under 12 during the four-day event.
Other corporate partners of the All-American Ribfest include Coca-Cola, Coors Light, Enterprise Truck Leasing, FedEx Office, Holiday Inn Indianapolis Downtown, Kroger, Miller Lite, Sun King and Yuengling.
All-American Ribfest will be hosted at the American Legion Mall, 700 N. Meridian St., from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and will wrap-up on Sunday at 8 p.m.
